The Spitfire Strings Selection template is part of the Selection series and provides a unified, ready-to-use string palette built from major libraries. It includes BBC Symphony Orchestra (BBCSO), Appassionata Strings, Abbey Road Two, Spitfire Symphony Orchestra (SSO), and Chamber Strings, offering a broad tonal spectrum from intimate chamber textures to expansive orchestral swells. The core idea of the Selection template is to present a main, flexible template that hosts multiple compatible libraries, so you can combine sources without compatibility concerns while preserving a cohesive sound. This template is designed to accelerate emotive, modern scoring with a wide range of techniques across the included libraries. The Spitfire Symphony Orchestra operates in Performance mode for immediate results; the engine automatically adjusts articulations based on how you play. For instance, playing a short note activates staccato articulations, overlapping notes render legato textures, and varying velocity shapes the legato type to taste. Note that expression maps are included for all libraries except Chamber Strings (coming soon), ensuring consistent playback and ease of use straight out of the box. This selection provides everything you need to write emotional, contemporary music with diverse techniques, while keeping the workflow streamlined and project-ready.
